There are daily warnings from Trading Standards regarding BOGUS Callers. Keep your door locked and speak to strangers through the window until you are absolutely sure of their credentials. Telephone the Police immediately if you think there is anything odd about the caller and try to get a registration number of the vehicle they are driving.
NEVER let a stranger into your home to use the telephone – you can dial the number for them if it is urgent or pass the telephone through the window. Similarly a glass of water can be given through the window. Do not feel intimidated.
A number of thefts over night from vehicles have occurred in our area Don’t leave things in the car if possible or at least put them into the boot or glove pockets.
